There is no interview or assessment process. Your tutor will ask you to complete a short quiz in your first session. This will help us to highlight any areas you may need some additional support with.
Get Further tutoring sessions are FREE. You do not have to pay!
You will have one 60 minute session on the same day and at the same time every week.
Each session will be 1 hour. On occasion, we may schedule sessions that are 1.5 hours or 2 hours.
Whilst we recommend that you only take on tuition for one subject, it may be possible for you to participate in tuition for both maths and English. Please get in touch with your Programme Coordinator to see if this option is available to you.
You will get the most out of our programme if you join every session, so please do try to attend every week. If you are unable to attend a session, please contact your Programme Coordinator and let them know as soon as possible.
If your contact details have changed, please update your Programme Coordinator as soon as possible.
There will be up to 3 students in each session.
Your Programme Coordinator will work with you to find a time that suits you best.
Get Further sessions do not take place during the holidays.
Get Further tutors do not assign homework, but you will have the opportunity to take your tutoring booklet home to complete additional tasks and revise lessons.
Yes! We are able to provide additional support for students with disabilities. Please contact your Programme Coordinator to discuss any adjustments you may need.
Please contact your Programme Coordinator, who will work with you to arrange an alternative time for your session.
Get Further will work to create a supportive learning environment, which may include timetabling students into the same groups as their peers where possible. If you would like to be timetabled within a specific group, please let you Programme Coordinator know as soon as possible.
