How do I sign up to Get Further?
Please click on this link http://getfurther.info/students and complete the sign-up form. The form only takes 5 minutes to complete!
When do I need to complete the form by?
Please complete the form as soon as possible, as places fill up fast.
Is there an interview or assessment involved in the sign up process?
There is no interview or assessment process. Your tutor will ask you to complete a short quiz in your first session. This will help us to highlight any areas you may need some additional support with.
How much will sessions cost?
Get Further tutoring sessions are FREE. You do not have to pay!
How many sessions will I have each week?
You will have one 60 minute session on the same day and at the same time every week.
How long is each session?
Each session will be 1 hour. On occasion, we may schedule sessions that are 1.5 hours or 2 hours.
Can I sign up for both English and maths?
Whilst we recommend that you only take on tuition for one subject, it may be possible for you to participate in tuition for both maths and English. Please get in touch with your Programme Coordinator to see if this option is available to you.
Do I need to attend every week?
You will get the most out of our programme if you join every session, so please do try to attend every week. If you are unable to attend a session, please contact your Programme Coordinator and let them know as soon as possible.
If I change my phone number / address / email address, what should I do?
If your contact details have changed, please update your Programme Coordinator as soon as possible.
Will there be other students in my session?
There will be up to 3 students in each session.
When do the sessions take place?
Your Programme Coordinator will work with you to find a time that suits you best.
Will there be any sessions during the holidays?
Get Further sessions do not take place during the holidays.
Will we be given homework to complete?
Get Further tutors do not assign homework, but you will have the opportunity to take your tutoring booklet home to complete additional tasks and revise lessons.
I have a disability. Can Get Further support me?
Yes! We are able to provide additional support for students with disabilities. Please contact your Programme Coordinator to discuss any adjustments you may need.
I need to change the time of my session. What should I do?
Please contact your Programme Coordinator, who will work with you to arrange an alternative time for your session.
I want to be in the same group as my friends. Is this possible?
Get Further will work to create a supportive learning environment, which may include timetabling students into the same groups as their peers where possible. If you would like to be timetabled within a specific group, please let you Programme Coordinator know as soon as possible.
