PARTNER WITH US FOR 21-22

The 16-19 tuition fund has been extended for 21-22. We have a limited number of programmes available for the 21-22 academic year, with 28th May 2021 the last date by which to confirm these. We are advising colleges and sixth forms to confirm as soon as possible in order to secure these programmes.

Our impact

Students enrolled on our programmes are more likely to make at least one grade of progress and achieve a grade 4 than the national average.

After 12 sessions, the proportion of students making at least one grade of progress is

than the national average.

92%

of students report an increase in confidence towards the subject.

Our Programmes

“Thank you for all your help with the Get Further programme. It paid off and I got a 4 in my resit!

We have three programme types:

Autumn programme: up to 12 sessions, delivered twice a week between September and October 2021, to prepare students ahead of the November exam.

Full year programme: up to 24 sessions, delivered once a week between November 2021 and May 2022, to support students to achieve their goal in the summer exam.

Half year programme: up to 24 sessions, delivered twice a week between February and May 2022, providing a more intensive programme of support in the run up to summer exam.

We can run any combination of programmes for your college / sixth form. Often, students on the autumn programme transition onto the full year programme and continue to benefit from the support of a tutor, until they receive the results of their November exam in January.

"The autumn programme was really helpful for me because I understood some of the topics I’ve been struggling with since I was in secondary school… I can’t wait to start the full year programme”.

Programmes can be run online or face-to-face (or a combination of both).

Availability

We have a limited number of programmes available for the 21-22 academic year allocated on a first come, first served basis. We are advising colleges and sixth forms to confirm as soon as possible to guarantee programmes for 21-22, and before 28th May 2021.

“Eva [my tutor] has started to really improve my confidence since I started tutoring. Today I felt hopeful and even did some practice questions after the session.”

If you would like to discuss partnership options for 21-22, you can book a call with Sarah Waite, our Chief Executive.

GCSE Resit Curriculum

We can also offer support directly to college and sixth form teachers through our research-based GCSE maths resit curriculum for further education. The curriculum package includes:

A scheme of work, tailored to your timetable and cohort needs.

All lesson materials (including slides, worksheets and assessments), designed by expert maths teachers with an exceptional track record of results.

A professional development programme and ongoing support to equip teachers with strategies to help them to get the most out of the lesson materials.

For colleges who use the curriculum, there is a demonstrable improvement in progress and attainment. During the curriculum pilot, 80% of young people improved their scores after three months of teaching – and assessment results were significantly higher for the cohort than the previous year.

8 in 10

students improved their scores in just 3 months.

“Using the Get Further resources has been a privilege this academic year. The format of the lessons has been clear and concise for our students – allowing them to know what to expect from their lessons. As a teacher, I feel that the resources have enhanced my teacher toolkit. The lessons are well thought out to help students progress through the curriculum, particularly with the connections made between the recaps and the main learning objectives.”

The annual subscription cost of our GCSE maths resit curriculum and professional development programme is £5,999.

You can add the curriculum package via the sign up form, or book a call with our Maths Curriculum Manager, Kaydi Newsome, to find out more.
