A big highlight of 2024–25 at Get Further has been our new partnership with Hopwood Hall College.
This year, we supported nearly 300 students on their journey to resitting GCSE maths — and it has been a real pleasure to collaborate so closely with the college team. At Hopwood Hall, we were welcomed into the heart of the college:
- A dedicated Get Further room gave students a consistent, visible space to access extra support.
- The college’s maths team proactively encouraged students to sign up and regularly dropped in on sessions to check in and discuss progress with tutors.
- Get Further tuition was timetabled during students’ self-study time, meaning sessions were fully integrated and didn’t disrupt their other college commitments.
- We were connected with student support and safeguarding teams from day one.
This approach allowed our team to work closely with Hopwood Hall’s engaged and proactive maths department — enabling tutors and college staff to share insights, align strategies, and take a joined-up approach to student support.

We’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Hopwood Hall next year, as part of our nationwide, EEF-funded trial of the Get Further GCSE Resit Tuition Programme. We look forward to building on this year’s successes as we take our partnership forward into a second year.
