The Senior Data and Insights Officer will help us to demonstrate the importance of our tuition for young people and adults who are undertaking foundational qualifications. You will have strong attention-to-detail and will make sure our data is relevant, accurate and confidential. You will be skilled in data analysis and interpretation: able to draw out insights from data and be confident in writing – and communicating – impact for a variety of purposes and audiences.
📍Location: London/Remote working. For staff based in London, there are 2 core days per week at our London Office. For staff outside of London, there is more flexibility (with all staff expected to travel to the office at least once per month).
⏳Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday). We can discuss flexible working patterns, e.g., school hours, as needed.
💰Salary: London salary £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience (including £2k London weighting)

About the role
As the Senior Data and Insights Officer, you will be joining the Impact Team and will, with the support of the Executive Team, help develop and implement our internal evaluations e.g. assessing tutor and student performance as well as analysing the quality of our programme delivery and helping to build research instruments which accurately and effectively gather insights. You will be familiar with a CRM system (like Salesforce); able to run reports, use dashboards and access relevant data, to help us understand our organisational impact and effectiveness.
As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Chief Impact Officer, within our Impact Team to:
Database Usage and Reporting
- Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.
- Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Management Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
- Enhance our data analysis and reporting by developing predictive modelling and exploring statistical significance of our findings.
- Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact, clearly and accurately.
- Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.
Internal and External Evaluations
- Support the Chief Impact Officer in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact.
- Oversee and implement internal evaluation activity, for example, finalising student surveys, focus group and interview tools.
- Review and enhance data collection tools, process, analysis, and reporting.
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of our evaluation data; and use the data to make recommendations to improve programme quality.
- Review and keep abreast of literature and research in the further education, wider education, tuition and research landscape. You will share and apply learnings to our evaluation processes and programme delivery.
Data Quality and Assurance
- Support our ongoing compliance with GDPR across the organisation, ensuring that our data is robust, accurate and proportionate to the needs of the organisation.
- Uphold the highest standards of compliance, in relation to GDPR and safeguarding.

You’re a data-driven problem-solver who’s passionate about using insights to make a difference. With a sharp eye for detail and strong analytical skills, you enjoy working with data to uncover trends, measure impact and drive improvement. You’re organised, collaborative and thrive in a mission-led environment. Whether designing surveys, building dashboards or writing reports, you communicate complex findings clearly and effectively. Essential criteria
A passion for tackling educational inequality and a belief in Get Further’s mission
Experience with database systems (e.g., Salesforce) or willingness to learn
Strong data analysis skills, with a track record of drawing actionable insights
Research experience (qualitative and quantitative methods, survey design, etc.)
Advanced quantitative skills (e.g., predictive modelling, statistical testing)
Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python or R
Strong understanding of GDPR and data security
A solutions-focused mindset with great interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A commitment to safeguarding and data confidentiality
Desirable:
Experience in the Further Education (FE) sector
Involvement in research trials such as RCTs or QEDs
